TEAM: YELLOW
GROUP: ART
JOB: TEACHING OTHERS TO BE “CREATIVE”
Creativity Has No Rules
“I am so excited! Today is my painting party!” Dino cheered as she prepared all her paint supplies. “Brushes, sponges, water jugs, paper, canvas, rags and of course paint,” she named as she checked each item off her list.
Dino had a very special talent; she loved to paint beautiful flowers. She loved it so much that she wanted to teach all her friends how to paint them too. So, she decided to throw a painting party in her garden and she invited all her pals from the Yellow Team she belonged to.
Dino set up the garden with easels, paintbrushes, and colorful paints. She even put up a big sign that said, "Flower Painting Party!" As her friends arrived, they were amazed by all the bright colors and the lovely smell of flowers in the air.
Dino made name cards for each of her friends: there was Sheep, who loved to jump and play, Rhino, who always gave his honest opinion, Snake, Panther, Puppy, Toucan and Shark were all coming to the event. Everyone was excited about the painting party, especially Dino, who couldn't wait to teach her friends how to paint flowers.
Once everyone found their seat, Dino cheerfully announced, "Welcome, everyone!" "Today, I'm going to show you how to paint beautiful flowers, step by step. Let's start with a big circle in the middle of your canvas for the flower's center."
Everyone picked up their brushes and began to paint. Sheep, who was seated next to Dino, followed Dino's instructions carefully, making a perfect circle in the middle of her canvas. But Rhino, well, Rhino had a different idea. He painted a big squiggly line instead of a circle.
"Dino, look!" Rhino exclaimed proudly. "I made a funny flower!"
Dino looked at Rhino's painting and frowned. "That's not how you paint a flower, Rhino. You're supposed to make a circle first."
But Rhino just grinned and continued painting his squiggly lines and funny shapes.
Dino felt frustrated. She wanted everyone to paint flowers the same way she did, step by step. She didn't understand why Rhino wouldn't follow her instructions.
Sheep noticed Dino's frustration and gently nudged her. "Dino, it's okay. Everyone has their own way of being creative. Rhino is just having fun in his own special way."
"But I wanted to teach everyone how to paint flowers like I do," Dino said with a sigh.
Sheep smiled and said, "And you are teaching us, Dino. You've given us all the tools and the idea. Now, we can use that to make our own style of art. Look how happy Rhino is with his funny flowers!"
Dino looked at Rhino again. He was indeed having a great time, laughing and making his unique flower creations. Dino realized that Sheep was right. The painting party wasn't just about following her instructions; it was about having fun together while expressing their creativity in their own ways.
With a big smile, Dino said, "You're right, Sheep. Thank you.”
“Rhino, I love your funny flowers! They are so unique and full of joy." Dino said.
Rhino beamed at Dino's words. "Thanks, Dino! Your flowers are beautiful too!"
The friends continued painting, each creating their own special version of flowers. Some were big, some were small, some were squiggly, and some were perfectly round. In the end, Dino's garden was filled with a wonderful variety of painted flowers, each one different and beautiful in its own way.
Dino looked around at her friends and their amazing artwork. She felt happy and proud. The painting party was a success, not because everyone painted the same, but because everyone had fun being creative.
Dino was glad to have friends to share creative adventures together, celebrating their unique ways of seeing the world.

Meet the Real T-Rex Dinosaur!
Cool Facts: The T-Rex, or Tyrannosaurus Rex, was one of the most powerful and impressive dinosaurs to ever walk the Earth. Known for its massive size, strong legs, and tiny arms, the T-Rex also had an enormous head with sharp teeth. Despite its fearsome appearance, it likely had a strong sense of smell and keen eyesight.
Where They Lived: T-Rexes lived during the late Cretaceous period, around 68 to 66 million years ago. They roamed what is now North America, particularly in areas that were lush with forests, rivers, and open plains.
Where They Slept: T-Rexes probably slept on the ground, finding safe spots to rest in the dense forests or open areas where they lived. They would have needed to sleep in places where they felt secure from potential dangers.
Home Life and Social: While much about their social behavior remains unknown, some scientists believe that T-Rexes might have lived in family groups or had some social interactions, especially when they were young and being cared for by their parents.
Friendships: T-Rexes were likely solitary most of the time, but they might have interacted with others of their kind occasionally. They may have communicated through vocalizations or other behaviors.
What They Do for Fun: T-Rexes may have enjoyed exploring their environment, using their keen senses to investigate new sights, sounds, and smells. Young T-Rexes might have played with each other, developing their skills as they grew.
Size of the Animal: T-Rexes were enormous! They could grow up to 40 feet long and 12 to 20 feet tall. They weighed between 9 to 12 tons, making them one of the largest land predators of their time.
Power Level: The T-Rex was incredibly powerful, known for its massive jaws and strong bite force. Its legs were muscular and capable of supporting its massive weight, allowing it to move quickly and powerfully.
Lifespan: T-Rexes are believed to have lived up to around 30 years in the wild. Their growth was rapid during their early years, reaching their full size by the time they were around 20 years old.
First Known: The T-Rex was first discovered in the early 20th century, with the first fossil found by Barnum Brown in 1902. Since then, numerous fossils have been uncovered, providing a wealth of information about this magnificent dinosaur.
