Cool Facts: Pandas are one of the most beloved animals in the world. Known for their distinctive black and white fur, pandas have a gentle and playful nature. They are also famous for their love of bamboo, which makes up most of their diet. Despite their large size, pandas are excellent climbers and can even swim.
Where They Live: Pandas live in the mountainous regions of central China, particularly in Sichuan, Shaanxi, and Gansu provinces. They thrive in cool, wet bamboo forests, where they have plenty of food and shelter.
Where They Sleep: Pandas sleep in tree hollows, dense bamboo thickets, or on the forest floor. They take short naps throughout the day and night, often sleeping wherever they feel safe and comfortable.

Mothers are very attentive to their cubs, caring for them until they are about two years old. Baby pandas, called cubs, are playful and curious, often seen climbing and exploring their surroundings.

What They Do for Fun: Pandas love to play! They enjoy climbing trees, rolling around, and playing with bamboo. Their playful behavior is not only entertaining to watch but also helps them develop their physical skills.
Size of the Animal: Adult pandas weigh between 200 to 300 pounds and stand about 2 to 3 feet tall at the shoulder when on all fours. They can reach up to 4 to 6 feet in length, including their head and body.
Power Level: Pandas are strong and powerful animals. They have strong jaws and teeth designed to crush bamboo, and their muscular limbs help them climb and move through their forest habitat with ease.
Lifespan: In the wild, pandas typically live to be around 15 to 20 years old. In captivity, with proper care, they can live up to 30 years or more.
First Known: Pandas have been known to humans for thousands of years and have been depicted in Chinese art and literature. The first known Western encounter with a panda was in the 19th century, and since then, pandas have become a symbol of wildlife conservation.
